April Adsense earnings broke a new record for me. I ended up making $550.28! Woo hoo! The majority of my earnings came from two sites I had made when I knew absolutely nothing about making websites or keywords. To me this just proves anyone can make money online! These two sites aren’t even optimized for keywords and haven’t been touched for two years so I think the aged domains are factoring into my rankings and earnings also. I keep debating on whether or not I should go an add additional content to these two sites, this time using keywords but I’m worried I’ll somehow mess up the love they are getting from G00gle, so I just keep adding a few backlinks here and there for the sites. My best day in April brought in $68.83 and my lowest day was $7.42.
Here’s what I’ve been up to:
- Social Bookmarking With BookmarkWiz. I created a bunch of email accounts and then let BookmarkWiz do it’s thing, it created accounts with popular bookmarking sites. I then submitted my links to my sites, my EZA, and things I found interesting online. I love this software and I’m positive it’s helped my sites out.
- I’ve been writing articles for my sites using WCS – Web Content Studio, which will help you “theme” your article. By theming your article it’s possible to rank without backlinks. I’ve only been using this software for about two weeks. I went and redid some of my sticky posts for my sites and at first I found my sites dropped in the search engines but now almost two weeks later the sites are ranking better and I can see I’m ranking for more terms than I was before. One thing I really like about this software is that it’s actually helping to write longer articles. Sometimes I’d struggle just to get 300 words for a post, especially if the subject was something I know very little about but since using the software most of my articles are averaging about 600 words, which is a HUGE improvement.
- I’ve been staying away from forums. I’ve been avoiding forums and I’m finding I get a lot more work done. When I do visit a forum I try and do a read only and limit my time.
- Taking action everyday. This is a biggie! Everyday I set out to do something for my online business, even it ifs just writing some articles for backlinks, I do it! If I know I’m going to have a busy day with limited time to get online, then I do some social bookmarking with BookmarkWiz. No matter what I have going on, I try and do something for my sites. I travel quite a bit for my husbands business and so if I’m going to be out of town and offline, I will do extra work for my online business before I leave.
